A detailed street map of the ancient city of Kamianets-Podilskyi between Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, and Chernivtsi in southwestern Ukraine, with a symbol key identifying many types of architectural and cultural heritage. A high-scale inset shows the old town center nearly surrounded by the Smotrych River; a second inset shows a 17th-century birds-eye view of the city from above the historic castle. Many buildings of Jewish significance remain in Kamianets-Podilskyi, including the 19th-century Artisans' (or Tailors') Synagogue, but none are marked on the map, and the killing fields of the August 1941 Kamianets-Podilskyi massacre of more than 20 thousand Jews, now a city park with memorials, is also not marked on the map. The large Bilanivka Jewish cemetery is shown and labeled on the map northwest of the old town, but three others in the Zinkivtsi and Karvasary suburbs are not. The reverse side of this map, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, provides a detailed street index, a lengthy timeline history of the city and region from 5000 years ago, an extensive listing of local cultural sites with photos of key fortress bastions and gates, old paintings of the castle, and a map of the region surrounding Kamianets-Podilskyi.
