A series of color images and brief essays in Ukrainian describing the history of the city of Boiarka southwest of the capital of Kyiv in north-central Ukraine. Many of the cultural features of the city marked on the detailed street map on the front side of this brochure are pictured and described in more detail here. Although there is no monument to him in the city, the writer Sholem Aleichem was among the artists who gathered in Boiarka to work and relax, and as the historical essay here notes he modeled the fictional settlement of Boyberik on Boiarka in his short stories Tevye the Milkman. In addition to the street map, the front side of this brochure also includes a symbol key locating many types of architectural and cultural heritage, and a street index keyed to the map grid.
