Borshchev (Borshchiv) History and Cultural Sites 2010

A series of color images and brief essays in Ukrainian describing the history of the small city of Borshchiv (Borshchev, Borshtshev, בארשטשיוו) south of Chortkiv in western Ukraine. Many of the cultural features of the city marked on the detailed street map on the front side of this brochure are pictured and described in more detail here. Featured museums include the local history and folk art museum plus others which describe and illustrate the extensive cave systems in the region and the ancient culture which developed in the caves. In addition to the street map, the front side of this brochure also includes a symbol key locating many types of architectural and cultural heritage, a street index keyed to the map grid, and a small regional map of the southern part of the Ternopil Oblast where Borshchiv is situated.
