Sokal Tourist Map [after 2001]

A detailed street map in the Ukrainian language of the city of Sokal (סקאָהל) north of Lviv in western Ukraine, with a list of streets indexed to a grid plus a symbol key identifying many types of architectural and cultural heritage. The ruin of the city's fortress synagogue in the city park is marked on the map with both an architectural monument symbol and a Star of David; the destroyed Jewish cemetery is not indicated. An inset shows the former Sokal administrative district with many labeled cities and towns. The reverse side of this map, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, presents historical essays on the city and region in Ukrainian and English languages along with color photos of significant local heritage sites.
