A series of color images and brief essays in Ukrainian and English languages describing the environment and history of the city of Dubno near Rivne (Rovno) in western Ukraine. The historical section spans from before the 12th century and includes a separate essay on the 17th-century Dubno castle. The history of the Jewish community is briefly described with mention of a printing house as well as many synagogues and cheders, and two Jewish colleges; the surviving synagogue is shown in a color photograph. The wider region is also briefly described, with mention of archaeological finds and cultural features of many local villages. The front side of this brochure, by Kartografiia of Kyiv, includes a detailed street map of Dubno and a useful road map of the former Dubno district.
