A large and detailed multi-color road map in Ukrainian of the Khmelnytskyi region (oblast) in southwestern Ukraine, published by Karty i Atlasy of Lviv. Major and minor roads plus the key rail lines and waterways connecting cities in the region and beyond are indicated. A map legend in Ukrainian identifies with symbols, colors, and line types a vast number of map features, including settlements in four ranked sizes; borders, road types and transit points; tourist information and service points; points of nature interest, plus a large number of very specific architectural and cultural features across the oblast. Among the identified features are Jewish sites in Izyaslav (Iziaslav), Kuzmin (Kuzmyn), Medzhibozh (Medzhybizh), Nova Labun (Novolabun), Satanov (Sataniv), Shepetovka (Shepetivka), and Zinkov (Zinkiv). An inset shows a simplified street map of the administrative center city of Khmelnytskyi; another shows a street map of Kamenets Podolskiy (Kamianets-Podilskyi) (including the 19th-century Tailors' Synagogue), and a third shows the medical resorts and other sites around Satanov (Sataniv) (including its Great Synagogue). The reverse side provides a detailed illustrated listing with descriptions of tourist sites in the region.
