A large, detailed, and remarkably informative multi-color street map in Russian of the city of Lida (לידע in Yiddish) in western Belarus, published in 2018. The map labels major and minor streets throughout greater Lida, and an index on the same page lists more than 300 streets keyed to the map grid. Text inset on the map summarizes the city's 700-year history. A map legend identifies with symbols, colors, and line types a large number of map features primarily focused on travel and tourism including parks and gardens plus historical and cultural monuments as well as four recommended tourist routes. Photographs and text in both Russian and English describe a wide variety of visitor attractions from the medieval Lida Castle to historical reenactments to centers of arts, crafts, and cultural history, all marked with numbered pins on the map. Among the war monuments and memorials is the site of a mass grave west of the center where more than 5000 Jews were shot during the German occupation of WWII. The site of the former Jewish cemetery is not marked.
