An illustrated history of the city and region (oblast) of Mogilev in eastern Belarus, including a timeline of the city from its first mention in 1267, published in 2012. Statistical and historical information about the region highlight the earlier 12th-century records of Slavgorod (Propoysk), Krichev, and Mstislavl. An extensive list of sightseeing attractions featuring historical and modern images of monuments describes and locates on a grid on the map on the front side points of interest in Mogilev and more than 125 other cities and towns in the region, including the now-ruined synagogue in Bykhov (Yiddish ביחאָוו, Bihov). Two dozen suggested tourist driving routes and a list of regional tour organizations with contact information complement the many details. Neither the Mogilev city Jewish cemetery nor any of its synagogues are mentioned.
