A large and detailed multi-color street map in Russian of the city of Brest in southwestern Belarus, published by Belkartografia in 2024. Brest was formerly known as Brest-Litovsk, Bieraście, Brześć, and Berestye, and in Yiddish as בריסק or Brisk. The map labels major and minor streets throughout greater Brest, and an index on the same page lists more than 600 streets keyed to the map grid. Text inset on the map summarizes the city's 1000-year history. An extensive map legend identifies with symbols, colors, and line types a large number of map features, including borders, road types and transit points; travel, tourism and entertainment facilities; sporting sites, natural parks, and gardens; hospitals, and pharmacies; schools and universities; and historical and cultural monuments. Nine architectural features of the city are represented with photographs. On the map, the former Choral Synagogue is marked with a symbol indicating its current function as a cinema; nearby, the former new Jewish cemetery is identified as the sports complex which replaced it.
